Parent information
High School parent responsibilities

College credit is awarded for all courses taken for credit and corresponding grades will become a part of your student's permanent official college record.

High school credit for DVC coursework is subject to individual school policy. Contact your school's registrar for information.

High school students are treated like any other college students. The rules regarding student records are governed by the Family Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). We cannot release academic information without the written consent of the student.

Parents must be aware that students will be exposed to program curriculum designed for the adult learner. These programs may involve sensitive topics and may be considered controversial or offensive to some.

Parent consent is required for high school students to enroll in a college level course and participate in all required activities that may include field trips off campus.
