Dr. Barlow has been a teacher and practitioner of sociology for 30 years. He has taught at DVC for twenty years. He has written two books, and published dozens of articles. He has also participated in the civil rights movement since 1961. He has been a visiting professor at U.C. Berkeley since 1986. His special areas within sociology are the sociology of law and the sociology of race and ethnicity in the United States.
