Contra Costa Independent Living Skills Program

Alameda Independent Living Skills Program

Standard ILSP

The Standard Independent Living Skills program provides services to youth still in care between the ages of 16 through 19. The primary focus of the standard ILS program is to identify all eligible youth and provide emancipation services with the goal of preparing them for responsible adulthood.

After Care

The Post Emancipation program was developed to provide after care services for our emancipated youth. Youth are eligible to participate until their 21st birthday. The post emancipation program is staffed with Education, Outreach, Employment, and Housing specialists.

First Place for Youth

First Place works to ensure that all foster youth have the opportunity to experience a safe, supported transition from foster care. Through services to 16 to 23-year-olds including a housing program, an academic enrichment program, counseling, youth community center, collaboration with other Bay Area agencies, and community education, they help youth gain the skills to live independently and succeed on their own.

Foster a Dream

Foster a Dream provides bay area foster youth with programs and resources supporting a successful transition into the adult world. Programs include Bridges, a multi-faceted program providing mentoring, academic guidance & support, academic scholarships, assistance with transitional housing, and connections to employment opportunities and job readiness skills.
