DENHY-227 Advanced Dental Hygiene Clinical Topics

  • Prerequisite: DENHY-120 or equivalent

This course will present dental hygiene therapy and disease control with emphasis on comprehensive patient care. Advanced topics of clinical dental hygiene care will include advanced instrumentation techniques, use of power-driven scalers, dental hygiene diagnosis and dental hygiene care planning for clients who are at risk of dental diseases. Current concepts about the adjunctive use of chemical agents in the prevention and treatment of dental diseases will be explored in the context of dental hygiene care with case-based presentations.
