This class will provide an introduction to the principles and practices of permaculture. Permaculture is a specific design system for sustainable living, providing tools for students dealing with issues of drought, rising ocean levels, rising ocean pH, salinization of farm lands and increasing urbanization. The course will cover crop planning, planting and rotation of crops, water distribution systems, food safety protocols, and implementing responsible pest management techniques. CSU
