GEOG-162 Map Design and Visualization

The course introduces basic principles of mapping and representation of spatial data using conven- al and computerized cartographic techniques. Elements of map such as scale, distance, direction, and map projections as well as cartographic techniques of data analysis, pro- cessing, visualization, and representation are examined in detail. This course is designed to develop a better understanding of maps, map design, and map-interpretation. CSU, UC
