BIOSC-140 Human Physiology

This course presents the essential concepts of physiological mechanisms of the human body. Emphasis will be given to regulatory mechanisms ranging from the cellular level to organ-system level employing chemical, mathematical and physical principles. Topics of study will include physiological principles, function, integration and homeostatis of the human body at the cellular, tissue, organ, organ system and organismal level. Laboratory activities focus on methodologies necessary for the application, analysis and evaluation of major physiological principles using molecular technologies, bioelectronics, computer analysis, and/or live organisms.
